Housing Information for Cotuit Kettleers Host Families

Questions about Player Housing?  ask (Mr.) Terry Moran  508 951 0802, terrymoran71@comcast.net

If you love to watch baseball, have kids who play baseball, or are a die-hard Kettleers fan, you can join the Kettleers family and host a player for the next season.  We are looking for dedicated families to share their homes with a player during the upcoming season. Players stay with families from early June through the beginning to middle of August.

It is the Kettleers policy to place only one player with each family.  In this picture, you can see the enjoyment on the children’s faces as their player shares a meal with them and some teammates.  Don’t worry, it was the host family’s idea to invite everyone over!

Your family will experience the joy of watching your very own player come up to bat or pitch in a game. With your own player, your family will have a personal interest in the team that you’ve never felt before. Players also work at Kettleers baseball clinics and many have their own transportation. If they don’t have transportation, other players will pick them up.  Host families are not responsible for transportation.

A host family is required to provide a private bedroom, three meals per day, and access to laundry facilities.  Host families are paid by Cotuit Athletic Association $20 a day in installments during the season as a contribution toward food and expenses.

You can build a lifetime relationship with your player whether he goes on to play baseball or chooses another career.  All host families will be able take part in our Spring Training Party in April, the Annual Welcome Party the night before opening day and our Host Family Appreciation near the end of the season where host families will be introduced on the field with their player and have a photo taken with him.

If you live in the vicinity of Cotuit, Mashpee, Osterville, Sandwich, Marstons Mills, West Barnstable or Centerville and would like to have a Kettleers player stay in your home for the baseball season or you want to learn more about it, please contact the Kettleers Housing Director: Terry Moran, (508) 951-0802 or terrymoran71@comcast.net
