Hyannis, MA- It was a night to forget for the Kettleers, as Hyannis pounded 18 hits en route to a 15-5 victory. Cotuit (12-16-1) jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but Hyannis responded by putting up 15 runs in a four inning stretch to put the game out of reach.

Gold stays hot with another blast, gives Cotuit lead
With the game still knotted at zero in top of the third, the Kettleers had two runners on with two outs when Luke Gold (Boston College) stepped up to the plate. Gold, who hit a homer in Sunday’s game against Wareham, belted his sixth blast of the season to give Cotuit a 3-0 lead.
Hyannis puts up seven in the third
After Cotuit took the lead in the top of the third, Hyannis responded with a big inning of their own in the bottom half. The Harbor Hawks scored seven two-out runs in the frame and sent 11 men to the plate. Hyannis banged eight hits in the inning, including a big three-run homer by the designated hitter Luke Mann. The seven run inning proved to be all that Hyannis would need in the game, as they ended up putting up eight more runs in the next three frames to seal the deal.
