Pitcher of the game: Jake Brooks‘ (UCLA) first start of the summer was a gem. The right-handed pitcher tossed 5.2 scoreless innings while allowing just five hits and a walk. Brooks struck out three batters. The UCLA product attacked the strike zone with efficiency. Brooks threw less than 15 pitches in five of six innings he threw in. Brooks finished with a final line of 5.2 IP, 5 H, 1 BB, 3 K, 0 R, and 78 pitches. He is yet to allow a run through 11 IP this season.

Cotuit hitter/hit of the game: Luke Gold (Boston College) has been a force in the Cotuit lineup since being inserted into the starting nine. Gold held the team lead in RBI coming into the game and upped that total to 12 with four RBI tonight. In the first inning, Gold smoked a two-run single up the middle.
