Pitcher of the game: Jake Brooks‘ (UCLA) first start of the summer was a gem. The right-handed pitcher tossed 5.2 scoreless innings while allowing just five hits and a walk. Brooks struck out three batters. The UCLA product attacked the strike zone with efficiency. Brooks threw less than 15 pitches in five of six innings he threw in. Cotuit hitter/hit of the game: Luke Gold (Boston College) has been a force in the Cotuit lineup since being inserted into the starting nine.
