A is for Anglers: The Anglers have the best record in the Cape League and have defeated Cotuit in all three contests this season.

B is for Bo: Bo Hofstra (Purdue) looked very solid in his three and a third innings pitched. He allowed just one earned run and struck out four, keeping Cotuit in striking distance.
C is for Casey: Casey Schmitt (San Diego State) shined in his brief outing as Coach Mike Roberts once again put the starting third baseman on the mound in a pressure packed situation. Schmitt came in with the bases loaded and just one out in the top of the seventh with Cotuit behind just a run 4-3. His first test was Jamal O’Guinn (USC) who is hitting over .300 with three bombs. Schmitt caught O’Guinn swinging on a nasty splitter in the dirt and escaped the inning without allowing significant damage as Chatham only scored once on an infield single.
F is for .500: The Kettleers have fallen back to .500 for the fifth time in the 2019 campaign. The team has never dipped below .500 to this point.
G is for Gonzales: Nick Gonzales (New Mexico State) continued his outstanding year as he reached base in his 77th consecutive game dating back to his college season. Gonzales hit his team leading fourth home run in Cotuit’s very first at bat of the game with a towering shot to left-center. It was Gonzales’ second lead-off homer of the season at Lowell Park.

M is for Major: Allbry Major (Xavier) is batting an impressive .371 on the season, adding a hit to his resume on Saturday.
N is for Nahas: Joe Nahas (Georgia Southern) has officially been released and may possibly sign a professional contract in the coming days. Nahas was one of Cotuit’s best pitchers who has the fifth best ERA (1.50) in the Cape League of pitchers with a minimum of .8 innings pitched per game.
P is for Pasic: Cotuit native and catcher Cody Pasic (Maine) has filled in very nicely for the injured Coltyn Kessler (Kentucky). Pasic is batting .303 and tied the game up with a lined shot into center in the second inning. Pasic has also been very impressive behind the plate throwing three runners out trying to steal second.
W is for Wolf: Jackson Wolf (West Virginia) made his fourth start for Cotuit on Saturday. The 6-7 lefty has a solid 3.05 ERA on the season.
