The Cotuit Athletic Association wishes to thank the many people who braved the chilly temperatures and strong winds to shop at the Cotuit Kettleers store at historic Lowell Park on Saturday, December 3, 2016. Christmas in Cotuit was a huge success, with over $3,300 in merchandise sold. Profits from all merchandise sales go directly to the operation of the Cotuit Kettleers organization.
Jen Rose, Emalee Pierce, Janet Logan, Debbie Rippeger, and our outstanding 2016 merchandise intern, Abby Souza, decked the Arnold Mycock Building in bows, lights, and boughs of holly, and played classic holiday Christmas songs to get everyone in the spirit of the season at Lowell Park. Somehow, they managed to avoid hypothermia as they staffed the store from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on a blustery December day. Donned with charming holiday hats, the hard-working volunteers shared the holiday spirit with the surrounding community and its many loyal Kettleers fans. Hot apple cider and cookies kept shoppers warm as they browsed, and purchased, new Cotuit Kettleers merchandise for holiday giving. The hottest item was the new knit ski hat bearing the iconic Olde English, Kettleers “C”, which sold out, and is now on re-order. Many other items, including the 2017 Cotuit Kettleers Calendar, featuring photos of beautiful Lowell Park taken throughout the year, flew off the shelves as well.
Look for the Kettleers on-line store at Kettleers.org to reopen in time for Christmas shopping in about two weeks, with new items added to the list of classic Kettleers gear. In the meantime, follow the Cotuit Kettleers on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for available items which can be ordered via e-mail in time for Christmas. Thank you to our awesome fans, and the greater Cotuit community, for your outstanding support all year long!!
