On June 7, 2016, Jameson Fisher, who played for the Cotuit Kettleers in 2014, was announced as the Hero Sports D1 Fan Choice 2016 Player of the Year!
Fisher adds this award to an incredible list of honors and accolades he has already received in recognition of his outstanding 2016 season at Southeastern Louisiana University. Fisher finished second in the Nation in batting average, first in on base percentage, smacked 12 home runs, and finished in the top 15 in virtually every other batting category.
Fisher is a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award, and the Dick Howser Trophy, which are bestowed upon the best college baseball player in America annually.
The Hero Sports D1 Fan Choice 2016 Award winner was determined by on-line fan voting. Fisher received 1,454 votes, besting the second place finisher from the University of Louisville, Kade McClure, by 243 votes.
